The DFF this year was my very first experience and it is now definitely something I will mark on my calendar as an annual event worth attending. If you want to check out what I got up to , check out my DFF2015 post here.
I know that your classic LBD is a staple in a women’s closet but it does take some thinking especially when pairing it with a pair of jeans. I opted for an all-black look with a touch of sparkle for the day with this flared skater dress / my little black LBD from Spree and I couldn’t have been happier with the way it turned out.
The mesh panels on the chest and waist area were very sheer so I wore a blank tank under my lace inner to ensure that it was covered. I loved the flare on this dress – it made me want to twirl around all day , haha, but I didn’t …
I was supposed to have been wearing my Guess towering heels but was advised against it due to the amount of walking I would probably be doing at the event and I am so happy that I wore this pair. That’s what happens when your little sister wears the same size shoe as you (thank goodness!)
I had to , just had to wear this sparkly, bling-ified (is that even a word?!) Swarovski bracelet from Miglio that I absolutely adore! It complemented my bag and ear rings perfectly and made me feel really dressed up for the event.
The feather embellishment on the sleeves added a little drama to my outfit and was something that really attracted me to this piece in the first place. Definitely one of my favourite things about this dress.
