Strawberry Body Sorbet – The Body Shop

Gaaaah! The Body Shop ❤

I am always on the lookout for a new product that they have launched or one that I have not tried yet , and this Strawberry Body Sorbet caught my eye when I entered the store. At first I was fooled into thinking it was a body polish because they tend to come in these types of tubes but on a second look I saw that it was actually a lotion. Unlike the packaging on the body polish tubes which are transparent, this one has a matte feel and one cannot see the contents. I was eager to use it and see how it fared compared to my other body lotions and butters.

While I don’t really have a sweet tooth, I absolutely love indulging in some ice cream (occasionally) after dinner, so the idea of having a body ‘sorbet’ was particularly intriguing. At this point while we are still in Winter, the body butters are more suited to keep your skin hydrated but as we will (shortly) get into the warmer months , we will be looking for something more lightweight and refreshing.

This sorbet is definitely what I will be using in summer. The consistency of this body sorbet is difficult to describe – it isn’t thick like a body butter but not as watery as a regular lotion. It goes on very easily and is absorbed by the skin very quickly.  It does look like real sorbet and smells almost delicious enough to eat. I have always been a fan of the strawberry range from TBS and I think everyone should have at least one body/skincare product from this line.

My verdict is : Buy if you are looking for a cool, light and refreshing body lotion. There are quite a few to choose from so test ’em out in store and find your fit.
