Eid ul Fitr {OOTD}

Saturday saw the dawn of one of my favourite days in the Islamic Calendar, Eid – Ul- Fitr and this year I was so blessed to be spending it with all my loved ones. While an auspicious month came to a close and even though we were so sad to see it go ,

there was also this immense joy knowing that this beautiful day was upon us. I was surrounded by so much love and so much happiness that I was truly overwhelmed.

Eid is always special and an occasion to get all dressed up and put on our best clothes. This year , I was lucky enough to have a brand new dress which I had bought from Spree a few months ago and was saving for a special occasion. This was it. With its embellished neckline (it is detachable too) and very feminine, flowy bottom I was enthralled. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it but unfortunately it does have an open back and I had to make an inner for it. Despite almost giving up because I couldn’t get the right material – I eventually got the absolute perfect colour and everything just came together.

This is definitely such a beautiful dress that I wouldn’t mind wearing again 🙂

I also tried applying mehndi on my own for the first time 😛 I don’t think it looks too bad but that kinda explains why the design is only on one hand hee hee.

I hope your Eid was fabulous and filled with special moments and loads of laughter. ❤
