{Review} Dr Organic Body Butter

While I use body lotion (I do have my faves), I must admit that I love body butters. I am a fan of the thicker consistency and the intense hydration one gets from using it. This is why I was really happy to receive this Organic Vitamin E Body Butter from the guys at Dr. Organic.

A richly hydrating and restorative natural body butter based on Organic Vitamin E combined with Aloe Vera, Shea butter, Jojoba oil and Sunflower oil which gently promotes healthy, moisturized skin. This rich absorbent formulation instantly hydrates, soothes and conditions the skin for a luminous and silky feel, leaving it soft, replenished and smooth all day. – Dr Organic Website

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin and keeps it healthy. You can get your dose from eating certain fruits and veggies, nuts and some oils but using this butter is a good way of supplementing it. Aloe Vera, amongst other things, treats sunburn and acne and even fights ageing. Together with the moisturising properties of Shea butter and Jojoba oil – this product packs quite a punch.

I use this all over my body, especially on my elbows and knees which can get very dry even in the summer. It goes on really thick and does take some time before it is fully absorbed by the skin but once it is, you can feel the difference. It is especially soothing if you wax areas of your body as it nourishes the skin and keeps dry patches at bay.

I especially love using this product at night because it gives my skin enough time to absorb and benefit from its amazing properties. Waking up to silky soft skin is always something I look forward to – and with Dr. Organic I can achieve that. I would recommend this product , especially for those of you who suffer with dry skin – and who battle in Winter with the ‘sandpaper’ effect  (‘aint that all of us). Eeek!

You can purchase it online from Takealot or Kalahari and have it delivered right to your doorstep 🙂
