I was lucky enough to be invited to the 27Pinkx Launch held at the beautiful and grand Beverly Hills Hotel in Umhlanga last week. What better place to host a group of lovely Durban bloggers and to introduce a brand like 27Pinkx.
Before I get to details of the event, some background to the day first.
A change of clothes was stored in my car and directly from work I was off to the event. My sister and I both arrived together (twitter handle: @greenhijabgirl) and scanned the place for our fellow bloggers and gracious hosts. With no sign of them, we made a beeline to the first person who looked helpful enough to guide us to our party. After some confusion, we were directed to the terrace were a table was setup for a high tea…
Ahem. We noticed we were the first ones to arrive… and then we thought “No… uh uh. That could not be right…”
So we did what anyone else would do – yes, we checked the pictures uploaded on social media, and Instagram proved we were at the WRONG Table! Lucky , Danielle (the giver-of-nice-things) found us and saved us from total embarrassment , and off we went to meet the ladies. Shew! Close call.
If you haven’t heard of 27Pinkx, they are a South-African based company with two sisters at the helm , Anjum and Khatija Ahmed, who are planning on taking the make-up world by storm. Their products range from not only make-up but skincare , beauty tools and even make-up storage.
Make-up Storage… I absolutely adore their make-up organisers which really are the epitome of luxury. Clear and made of durable acrylic , you can be sure that your precious treasures are safe once they are nicely tucked away. Everything is so easy to find and it just looks so glam – you’ll definitely be the envy of all your friends. The ‘Luxury Organiser’ is priced at R1800 and truly is something of beauty. I so need it, if not for me – then for my scattered , confused, orphaned make-up darlings who need a home desperately…
We were able to interact with Khatija and also touch and try the palettes that evening while we chatted away and relaxed. My favourite was certainly the ‘Naughty Nudes’ eyeshadow palette which retails for R460.00 and comes with both matt and shimmer shades. I am a lover of shimmer though, so I may have been biased 🙂
There are so many different items to choose from – the blush/eyeshadow trio compact, the blush/bronzer/highlighter palette and even the lip palette.
